As Chief Executive Officer, François is responsible for establishing and delivering the overall vision, mission and growth strategy of Innocap. Francois drives Innocap’s vision of enhancing the way value is created for the communities represented by our clients while maintaining innocap’s position as the industry-leading technology-enabled Dedicated Managed Account platform.
During his 27 years in the investment industry, François has held various senior functions in capital markets, wealth and asset management in Toronto, Montreal and London. Notably, in his role as Head of the Financial Products Group at National Bank of Canada, he was responsible for engineering and distribution of structured derivative-based investments globally.
François is the recipient of Bishop’s University Top 10 Under 10 award, a standing YPO member (and past chapter board member), and has contributed or been featured in Bloomberg, the Globe and Mail, Derivatives Week, Structured Products Magazine as well as a featured speaker at various conferences in North America, London, Paris, Zurich, Abu Dhabi and Singapore.
Since 2014 François has been a board member and active contributor to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, one of the largest sick kids hospitals and research centers in North America.
François received a BBA from Bishop’s University and an MBA from HULT Business School in London.

Anne-Sophie van Royen serves as Asset Management One USA’s Chief Investment Officer, Quantitative Strategies. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s quantitative investment programs including the research process, portfolio management and trade execution. Dr. van Royen manages AMO USA’s quantitative investment team. Prior to joining AMO, Ms. van Royen worked at la Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Quebec in Montreal, first as Head of Global Tactical Asset Allocation then as Head of Quantitative Equity. Prior to CDPQ she served for 4 years as an Advisor in the Managing Director’s Office at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, covering all matters pertaining to Tactical Asset Allocation. She was previously Head of Global Tactical Asset Allocation at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York between 2004 and 2011. She began her career in Mergers and Acquisitions with Goldman Sachs in London.
Ms. van Royen hold a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Mathematical Economics from the University of Paris – Sorbonne. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Business from HEC Paris. She has published articles in a variety of professional investment journals, including the Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Portfolio Management, Journal of Derivatives and Journal of Forecasting. She is a Past President of the Society of Quantitative Analysts in New York and served as an advisor in the Department of Mathematics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Prior to joining PSP Investments, Eduard van Gelderen was Senior Managing Director at the Office of the Chief Investment Officer of the University of California. As a member of the executive team, his primary responsibilities included overseeing the University’s retirement plan, heading up equity and real assets activities, and handling strategic partnerships in Europe. He also served as CEO of the Dutch financial service provider APG Asset Management and Deputy CIO of ING Investment Management.
He holds a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a post-graduate degree in Asset Liability Management from Maastricht University in Limburg. He is currently a PhD candidate at the International School of Management in Paris. Eduard is a certified Financial Risk Manager and a Chartered Financial Analyst and has served on several investment advisory boards.
Dr. Ranjan Bhaduri is the Founder and CEO of Bodhi Research Group, an advisory firm in alternative investments that has served clients in five of the seven continents. Dr. Bhaduri has over twenty years of experience in manager research, due diligence, portfolio construction, and structuring. Dr. Bhaduri was formerly the lead investment analyst for Global Macro, Convertible Arbitrage, Statistical Arbitrage, Volatility Arbitrage, Equity Market-Neutral and Managed Futures strategies within Morgan Stanley’s Graystone Research Group. Moreover, Dr. Bhaduri was also part of the portfolio construction team that designed customized portfolios of alternatives and a member of the Investment Committee. Dr. Bhaduri has held an advisory role at the East-West Center, a leading think tank on the Asia-Pacific region. He has taught finance and mathematics at several universities and lectured on Derivatives for the Montreal Exchange. Dr. Bhaduri has published papers on and been invited to speak worldwide regarding advanced portfolio management techniques. Dr. Bhaduri holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Hawaii, a M.Math in Combinatorics & Optimization from the University of Waterloo, and a MBA in finance and international business from McMaster University. Dr. Bhaduri is both a CFA and CAIA charter holder.
William (Bill) J. Kelly, CAIA is the CEO and board member of the CAIA Association since taking this leadership role in 2014. Previously, Bill was the CEO of Boston Partners, and CFO and COO of The Boston Company Asset Management, a predecessor institutional asset manager. In addition to his current role, Bill is also the Chairman and lead independent director for the Boston Partners Trust Company and serves as an independent director for a registered investment company, where he is a designated Audit Committee Financial Expert in accordance with SEC rules. He is also currently an Advisory Board Member of the Certified Investment Fund Director Institute which strives to bring the highest levels of professionalism and governance to independent fund directors around the world. Bill began his career as an accountant with PwC where he earned his CPA (inactive).

As the founder and principal advisor of Sage Raven Advisory, Michelle leverages over three decades of intelligence tradecraft and leadership experience to provide clients with actionable strategic advice. Prior to launching Sage Raven, Michelle co-founded a professional services consulting firm and built a successful, technology-enabled geopolitical consulting practice where she served clients in industries spanning energy, finance, manufacturing, and technology.
Previously, Michelle served in the U.S. Army in critical intelligence roles focused on counterterrorism, counternarcotics and counterproliferation threats. She was hand-selected as a Daily Intelligence Briefer to President Barack Obama after having successfully led the team responsible for crafting and producing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs’ Daily Brief. Michelle now advises C-suite executives and boards on geopolitical, cyber, and emerging technology risks affecting global operations, investments, and strategy.
Michelle holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a master’s in political science from the University of North Carolina, among other advanced qualifications.
Mario Therrien leads CDPQ’s investment funds activities. The teams he oversees invest in private investment funds and credit in private markets, as well as in venture capital in Québec and internationally. They are also responsible for external management in equity markets, as well as developing and managing strategic and institutional relationships. His mandate consists of adding value by building portfolios with the best external managers, while improving in-house management through the sharing of knowledge and expertise. He sits on the Investment-Risk Committee.
Prior to this role, Mr. Therrien was Senior Managing Director and Head of Strategic Partnerships, Developed Markets. He joined CDPQ in 1993 as an Analyst before taking on the role of Portfolio Manager in the group responsible for absolute return activities. Subsequently, he was mandated to develop external management activities in liquid-asset classes.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Finance from Université de Sherbrooke. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course given by the Canadian Securities Institute, and is a CFA charter holder.
Mr. Therrien is a member of the Montreal CFA Society and Chairman of the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI). The SBAI consists of investors and managers who act as custodians of the best practice standards for the hedge fund industry, pursuant to the recommendations published by the Hedge Fund Working Group in 2008.
